10 Easy Steps to Your New Home in The Villages at Norris Lake

1. Reserve a Lot
Home site reservation accompanied by a $1000 deposit, then execute a Purchase Contract for the lot. Review the Homeowner Association’s Covenants and Restrictions. Already own a lot? Skip to Step 2!

2. Select a Builder
Investigate your options … Choose one of our Approved Builders or bring your own.

3. Dream a Floorplan
We have some suggested plans for your consideration, or bring your own design or a floorplan you have found you like. The Design Review Guidelines will ensure
compliance with VNL architectural requirements.

4. Close on the Lot
Select a lender bringing the best financing options for your specific situation, or if paying by cash, let your sales person help you make arrangements with the title company.

5. Secure Construction Financing
Verify how much the Builder will require up front, along the way, and plan your loan for the construction process.

6. Finalize your Plans and Contract
Approve the Plan Review and final pricing, site work and sign a Building Agreement Contract. Submit your plans and application fee to the Design Review Board, while your Builder makes application for a building permit.

7. Complete Selections
Work with your Builder to personalize your home with your choice of colors, features, options and upgrades. So that your home may be completed as scheduled, it is important that you make selections as soon as possible.

8. Break Ground
From this point forward, you are handing the ball to your Builder to go the distance.

9. Stay in Constant Communication
Sign change orders for proof of modifications to the original contract pricing or specifications, monitor build progress with in-person site visits or regular picture updates from your Builder.

10. Final Walk-through, Closing … and Enjoy!
